one night in Opera

I swear this post was so outdated but I am posting it because I want to show off my pretty cheongsam. have amazing readers who will still love me for everything I blog! RIGHT? :D

That was taken during work weeks back. I worked as an usherer for F&N's company dinner which was held in Opera, Sunway Pyramid. It's kind of weird to organise your company dinner in a club right? I mean, it is so dark in side, the music was blasting and you have to shout to hear another person. I just don't think a club is suitable for company dinner, espcially when most of the people attending are of my parents' age. No offence but my mum can't even stand listening to slow Rock songs. She finds them too noisy and annoying. I am guessing that's the reason Opera was playing remixed 80's hits such as YMCA, Barbie Girl etc the whole time. Boring, no mood to dance at all, especially when I'm in a cheongsam.

Self claimed true chinese but I AM SO EXCITED because it was actually my first time wearing a cheongsam! HEHEHE. Please tell me I do look nice in it! Cause I certainly have to look nice in it for all the pain I suffered. I was barely able to breath thanks to the non-elastic super tight fitting silk fabric. Apparently they claim that cheongsam displays all women’s modesty, softness and beauty (URGH WTH YOU SURE?) but it just didn't work on me. I was cursing deep down because the high neck collar of the cheongsam is seriously killing me. I am fear that the buttons might just pop out anytime if I were to move in bigger action. And FML I have to hold my breath the whole night to keep my tummy from protruding out. LOLLLL but I DO LOOK NICE right! RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT? LOL

Party for desperados on the first and second floor. :P My working partners and I actually sneaked away from our working position and went up for a look. HAHAHAHA well, we saw... Middle aged woman trying too hard to look hot and botak uncles in suit. It was really quite funny but no offence la. LOL maybe I will end up like them someday? Arranged marriage wtf? LOL *shakes head* Don't wanna imagine! I wanna marry Peggy! Baby, you will want me right? HAHAHA

That night was amazing! We got free flow of beeeeerrrr! HAHAHA but we didn't really get to drink much. We wasn't allow to drink but yeaaaa, we managed to grab few glasses from the counter and share it. Sorbets were surprisingly addictive that we had countless of it. LOL FREEEE MA. Also, it was my first time putting make up for others and the super duper lucky one was my best friend's sister, Ashley Choi. Please refer to the picture taken above for me and my masterpiece. HEHEHE. Nice or not? Anyways Ashley was complaining that she looked as though she got punch on the eyes after I finished applying the grey eyeshadow on her. Aiyorrr broke my heart! Got that bad meh. =.=

10th March 2011 - The day I achieved something awesome - Certificate of Blood Donation! It was weeks back since my grandma was hospitalised. Fyi, she's doing really great now. Thanks for all the concern. :D Anyways my mum was told by the surgeon that granny used up 2 bags of blood in the operation room so my mum thought it'd be good if i can return the favour. Good karma it seems.



I don't know why but I am just not afraid of needles, injections or blood. I can watch the needle poking into my veins and find it amusingly cool when the blood just flow into the tube. Guess I was born to be a doctor HAHAHAHAHA.

I rang the bell like five times due to over excitement LOLL. The "ting" sound makes me happy. I know, weird things made me happy.


Woah some really cool test to identify your blood type. Apparently my blood type is O positive, the universal donor. I have big big heart to love, big big love to share, and even cool awesome blood to donate to everyone.

While waiting... Barely slept the night before. Thus explains the eye bags.

I can assure you that my arms are perfectly fine right now. Maybe even stronger than before. Anyways I really don't feel the after effect of donating blood. It just gave me another valid and STRONG reason to EAT MORE.

Me: Ma, hungry! I think it's because of blood donation ahhh.
Ma: Okay, kitchen got bread, go eat.

Instead of this...

Me: Ma, hungry! Got food ahhhh?
Ma: Please stop eating. Look at your size.
Me: (...)

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAH. Why my mum so cuteee!

(SHITEEEE. I totally forgot to eat the supplement they gave me. It's hidden somewhere in my room I'm pretty sure.)

I am so curious to find out who is that lucky one who got my blood. Did he become smarter after having my blood in his/her body? Seriously, who knows someday he might be the next president of America and thank me for saving his life at the most critical moment? LOLLL TOO MUCH.

Advantages of donating blood (from web):
1. The wonderful feeling derived from giving something vital to someone who needs it. (I am usually already very happy. Now I feel happier thinking the person I helped might be the next president of America. :D )

2. Blood donation removes some of the excess iron, in other words reduce risk for heart disease. (Can you feel my heart beat?)

3. Blood donation burns the extra calories and reduces your cholesterol level by stimulating production of new red blood cells. (Hmmmmm burns extra calories? OKAY RIGHT NOW I'M SO DETERMINE TO DONATE BLOOD EVERY 3 MONTHS LOL.)

As I was mentioning above, we had some very special celebration. Guess what! We had our pre-birthday celebration for all SM members. Since most of them are leaving for Australia soon and we won't be able to celebrate our birthdays together, we came up with this brilliant idea of celebrating our birthday TOGETHER! ALL AT ONCE. You get to save on birthday cakes, birthday presents, birthday dinner etc. So economical. HAHAHA we shall do it again when everyone's back wokie.
